News in Brief: 28/06/2009

Joanne's artwork recently made it through to the finals in the Beneath the Water category of the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2009 competition.

The competition attracted well over 700 entries. The high standard and quantity of entries made the final selection very difficult, but eventually the first round judges reduced the original intake to just 122 paintings.

Her oil painting "Pagliaccio del Mare" did not win the underwater category but she did well to get into the finals out of 700 entries! Click HERE to see piece that made it through.
